The Bible Definition of Depression

Heaviness, Burden, Sorrow, Something hard to Endure
Proverbs 12:25 Heaviness in the heart of man maketh it stoop: but a good word maketh it glad.

THE TOUGHEST BATTLES YOU WILL EVER FIGHT WILL BE THOSE WITH YOUR OWN MIND.

It was for this reason the Lord said to me. "Teach my people they cannot out think the devil."

That is true Lord, I said, Satan is too intelligent and experienced for us. What can we do?
He said, "You can out talk him because he cannot answer you back." Satan cannot speak out loud, when you say, "Satan you are a liar and the father of lies, the truth is not in you" he cannot answer you back. You will always win every one sided conversation.

What is one to do in this situation of depression caused by satan?

Put on the Garment of Praise-Isaiah 61:3 Here depression or discouragement is a spirit. It is a direct, diabolic attach of the enemy intended to destroy you.

Satan knows that if he can get us discouraged, depressed, and heavy hearted, then he has us obeying him instead of God.

Put on the Garment of Praise, Rejoice before the Lord. It is a time to reverse what your senses tell you. DO NOT GO BY YOUR FEELINGS. Your feelings will mislead you and you will lose your direction. You even feel that people who say they love you, don't really mean it.

We are to put on the garment of Praise and Worship. Isaiah 61:3 Satan, who fell by reason of pride, cannot stay around when someone else is receiving praise and honor.

Philippians 4:4 "Rejoice in the Lord Always" We are commanded to be Happy People. Give heed to the voice of God, and you can go through the storm when we do what God has told us to do.

Act According to his word, Not your Feelings. Know who you are in Christ, worship and Praise continually.

Keeping our heads up, our eyes on Jesus, our hearts rejoicing, is our toughest test. It takes effort, but it is worth it.

You don't always win every fight, but hang in there, and keep trying. You have to be victorious if you don't quit, because the fight was fixed by Jesus a long time ago.

God leads by the inner man. That inner man is born again by Gods Holy Spirit, thus you have within you, Gods Spirit, who is eternal. That eternal spirit in our human spirit knows all things. Your born again, by Gods spirit, and that spirit will lead you and guide you. Isaiah 54:5

Proverbs 16:31 Even if we are forsaken by loved ones, we are not alone.

Romans-8 Jesus said,"I am the resurrection and the life. He that believeth in me though he were dead, yet shall he live.

The average christian can fare well until the storms of life envelop him, and the winds of trouble blow him off course. The christian requires extensive training in scripture for survival. Intensive saturation training in the bible will prepare him to ignore his senses, and feelings, and to live boldly, and confidently by the word.
