How do you perceive God?
Does your perception of God reflect the Bible or is it what you perceive God should be?
Jesus say’s in Matthew 16:15 “But
whom say ye that I am?”
The truth is your life will be a reflection
of how you perceive God. Your perception or impression of
God determines how you receive from Him. The primary reason
your life is the way it is, is because of your perception
of God; if your perception is distorted it is because
you have not fully seen Him as He is. We all have individual
perceptions of God, and oftentimes, they are different than
others.
If you believe that God controls everything
that happens in this world like: disease's, war's, murder's, rape,
drug's, etc. your perception of God will not be good.
But, if you believe God’s love, blessings, power, answers to
prayers are conditional in that they are dependent upon
your own righteousness or holiness, then you will find yourself
constantly striving to “better yourself” when these things
are not evident in your life.
2 Peter 1:2-4 states: “Grace and
peace be multiplied unto you through the knowledge of God,
and of Jesus our Lord, According as his divine power hath
given unto us all things that pertain unto life and godliness,
through the knowledge of him that hath called us to glory
and virtue: Whereby are given unto us exceeding great and
precious promises: that by these ye might be partakers of
the divine nature, having escaped the corruption that is
in the world through lust."
So our perceptions and impressions
come from our knowledge of God and not the knowledge of this world. We must learn the true knowledge
of God in order to have the right impression of Him.
- Wrong Knowledge = Wrong Faith = Hell Bound
- Right Knowledge = Right Faith = Heaven Bound if you accept Him
If any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of God, that
giveth to all men liberally, and upbraideth not; and it
shall be given him. But let him ask in faith, nothing wavering.
For he that wavereth is like a wave of the sea driven with
the wind and tossed. James 1:5-6
